Carson City Trails Challenge 2024

What is the Trails Challenge:

The Carson City Trails Challenge is an exciting way to get outside and explore new trails and open spaces within your community. All you have to do is sign up, complete a minimum of 5 trails off of our Trails List, log your miles, and submit to us before December 1st 2024, to be entered in a prize raffle! To submit, send your Trails Log and any other supporting materials (photos, etc.) via email to elarsen@9590x.com OR turn in to the MAC or Pool during their regular operating hours.

Once you complete your Challenge and submit your log, we will enter your name in a raffle to be drawn in December 2024. Prizes include:

Who Can Participate:

Anyone can participate! Do the Challenge individually or sign up with your friends/family! On our Trails List, we suggest trails ranging from easy beginner trails to experienced backcountry level trails. Whether you bike, hike, run, walk, or even paddle, the Trails Challenge is all about getting outside and exploring your local trails!

Guided Hike Opportunities:

Throughout the Trails Challenge we will provide and suggest guided hikes led by Carson City staff or partners. These hikes will provide the opportunity to meet others in the community and will count towards your Challenge!

How to Register:

To register, just sign up clicking this link. Once you register make sure to download a copy of the Trails Challenge Guidebook (below), which you can print out or fill out online. You will also receive a Trails Challenge sticker just for signing up* - and the first 45 people to sign up will receive a small Visit Carson City flashlight!

Promote Your Challenge:

Make your challenge even more fun, by documenting it on social media and tag us using #CarsonCityTrailsChallenge for the chance to be highlighted on our page!

Materials Needed:

Download the Trails Challenge Guidebook (below) for your Trails List, Trails Log and other important tips and tricks for completing your Challenge. If you need a hard copy of your guidebook printed out, please reach out to elarsen@9590x.com to organize the printing/pick-up of your materials. Also below is a combination of maps that may be helpful throughout your Challenge or visit 9590x.com/trails for more information about your local trails!
